Man Arrested and Charged After Incident at Halle (Saale) Central Station

A 39-year-old man was arrested by the Federal Police in Halle (Saale), Germany, on Saturday, July 5, 2025, following an incident at the city's Central Station.

According to the Federal Police Inspectorate Magdeburg, the man was taken into custody at 04:40 after he allegedly struck a parked service vehicle of the Federal Police with a wooden plank. Witnesses also reported that he threatened two individuals with the same wooden plank.

During his escort out of the station, the man became aggressive and picked up a paving stone, which he threw at a second parked service vehicle, causing damage. Force had to be used to take him back to the station.

A criminal investigation was initiated against the man for property damage, destruction of important work equipment, threat, dangerous bodily injury, and resistance to law enforcement officers.
