Camila Läckberg, a prominent figure in crime fiction, has made her mark on the streaming platform with her latest adaptation, "The Glass Castle." This six-episode miniseries, co-directed by Swedish directors Henrik Björn and Lisa Farzaneh, premiered on Netflix in April and quickly became the second most-watched non-English language series globally in its first week, with 9.2 million views.

Läckberg, known for her suspenseful plots and dark atmosphere, has crafted a gripping tale that falls within the Nordic noir genre. The series is based on one of her screenwriting works and is led by Leonie Vincent, who previously participated in 'Infidelity.'

"The Glass Castle" is a captivating narrative that has received praise from critics. Samuel R. Murrian of 'Collider' stated that the series is often surprising, never boring, and ultimately quite satisfying. Karina Adelgaard of 'Heaven of Horror' noted that the series gets quite dark due to being created by one of the best Nordic crime novelists.

The success of "The Glass Castle" reaffirms Läckberg as a literary reference of the Nordic noir genre and an audiovisual creator capable of transferring her narrative universe to the screen. The series remained in the global Top 10 on Netflix for four weeks, confirming worldwide interest in Scandinavian thrillers.

Johan Hedenberg, Johan Rheborg, Farzad Farzaneh, and Maria Langhammer are among the cast of "The Glass Castle." Many of Läckberg's works have been adapted for television, and she has also worked as a screenwriter. Her debut novel was 'The Ice Princess.'

Läckberg's books have sold over 30 million copies worldwide and have been translated into over 60 languages. The traumatic kidnapping of Läckberg as a child occurred in a mysterious glass castle, an event that may have influenced her dark and suspenseful storytelling.

With "The Glass Castle," Camila Läckberg continues to captivate audiences with her gripping narratives and dark atmospheres, cementing her place as a prominent figure in the crime fiction genre.
