In the region, several incidents have been reported over the past few days, involving everything from physical altercations to a shocking dog attack.

In Hütten, a 43-year-old woman was the victim of an attack by a police dog in the Grafenwöhr district. The woman sustained severe injuries, including the loss of a part of her ear and wounds on both arms. The exact sequence of events is currently under investigation by the police.

Meanwhile, in Nittenau, two men got into a physical altercation under the influence of alcohol. Fortunately, both men only suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention.

Firefighters in Sulzbach-Rosenberg rescued a dog that was left without water in a camper. The 52-year-old owner of the dog was not aware of the danger.

In Weiden, a 40-year-old woman was caught shoplifting in a drugstore with a child in tow. Part of the stolen goods were hidden in the baby carriage.

A dispute in the Weiden city center escalated into a brawl involving a man and a mother with her 17-year-old son. The reason for the dispute remains unclear.

Elsewhere, police in Hirschau are securing traces and looking for witnesses after two suspects robbed the cash register of a hotel in Bad Neualbenreuth and fled to the Czech Republic.

In a more positive note, thanks to international cooperation, the suspects were arrested.

The investigation into the dog attack in Hütten will be concluded by the "Central Deployment Services" of the police in Weiden, the Public Prosecutor's Office in Weiden, and the Veterinary Office at the Neustadt District Office. It remains to be clarified whether the father had the dog properly leashed at the time of the attack.

The teacher who reported the injuries from the dog attack to the police station in Eschenbach is currently receiving treatment at the hospital, with her wounds being treated there.

Lastly, an unlocked bicycle was stolen from a courtyard in Hirschau. The owner is advised to report the theft to the local police.
