A police officer, acting under false pretenses, plundered the driver.

On Saturday afternoon, a suspicious incident occurred on the Bundesautobahn 61 (BAB 61) towards Venlo, where an unidentified individual posing as a police officer robbed a driver.

According to the Police Rhein-Erft-Kreis, the incident was reported around 12:30 PM, and the suspect directed the victims to exit the motorway at the Bedburg exit and stopped them in the area of Erkelenzer Straße.

The suspect, wanted by the Kriminalpolizeidirektion 13 for impersonating a police officer, was described as wearing a blue uniform, a black holster with a weapon, and having a beard. The perpetrator's vehicle was a black VW Passat.

The victim, a 40-year-old man, was traveling with two witnesses, a 32-year-old man, and a 20-year-old woman. The suspect allegedly stopped the driver, robbed them, and then drove off in the black VW Passat.

Alerted police officers searched for the suspects following the incident, and the criminal investigation into the incident is ongoing.
