A scooter user hands over his riding experience to the public audience
On Wednesday, September 3, a 16-year-old caused a stir in Mechernich-Breitenbenden when he was involved in multiple offenses on Mechernicher Straße. The event, which attracted a crowd of family members, relatives, and neighbors, took on the atmosphere of a street performance.
The teenager was riding a scooter with an exhaust not compatible with a moped's restrictor, and the insurance plate attached to the scooter did not belong to it. To make matters worse, he did not have a driver's license or proof of ownership for the scooter.
The situation escalated into a heated argument between the police and the family when the teenager was confronted about the issues. He reacted aggressively, and the argument resembled a small street theater performance.
The 16-year-old was charged with driving without a license, operating a scooter with an incompatible exhaust, and with a scooter whose insurance plate was not legitimate. Additionally, he was charged with insulting an officer during the incident.
Despite the charges, the teenager did not cooperate with the authorities. The event serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
