Accelerated setup process and increased flexibility offered by the recent update to the KLANG Operating System.

KLANG Technologies, a leading innovator in the field of personal mixing systems, has launched a new operating system, KOS 5.5. This latest update is now available for free download, offering a host of features designed to streamline live audio management.

One of the key advancements in KOS 5.5 is the introduction of the Dante Follow update. This feature allows for automatic patching of Dante channels to a KLANG mix from KLANG:app and KLANG:kontroller, eliminating the need for Dante Controller. System administrators can now remotely save and load mix presets on :kontrollers or :apps in Personal Mode, further enhancing the ease of use.

KOS 5.5 also simplifies the process of overseeing connected :kontrollers and :apps, making it easier to identify devices that require setup for a show. This update also introduces faster setup and standalone functionality, reducing the time spent on initial configuration.

In addition, KOS 5.5 offers DiGiCo console integration, which will be enhanced with DiGiCo's newest software release, V1742. This integration keeps console and KLANG channel labels in sync, ensuring seamless operation between the two systems. Firing a snapshot on a Quantum or SD-Range console will now fire the corresponding snapshot in KLANG.

Another notable feature is the dedicated section within the KLANG:app that gathers system notifications, including a history feature for scrolling through past notifications. This provides system administrators with a clear overview of the system's status.

KOS 5.5 also enables KLANG devices to format USB drives and copy their internal software version to update other devices. This feature is particularly useful for streamlining updates across multiple devices in a setup.

Moreover, a DMI-KLANG mounted in an Orange Box can now be configured and show settings of the audio I/O DMI card remotely via KLANG:app, eliminating the need for the Orange Box controller software.

Finally, whenever a console session is loaded or saved, a corresponding KLANG session is also saved, ensuring consistency across the entire system. The new Dante Follow update in KOS 5.5 also simplifies the separation of Dante and Control networks.

In summary, KOS 5.5 represents a significant step forward in simplifying live audio management, offering a host of features designed to streamline the setup and operation of KLANG's second-generation devices, as well as DiGiCo's DMI-KLANG card.
