Accident Escape Triggers Subsequent Investigation under Pol-PPWP
In the quiet town of Morlautern, a hit-and-run incident has left two vehicles damaged and the authorities seeking witnesses. On Monday evening, at approximately 6:30 pm, a collision occurred at the intersection of Daniel-Haëberle-Straße/Ebertstraße.
The Opel Corsa, driven by an unidentified woman, collided with a parked blue Opel Astra on Otterberger Straße. The driver of the Kia Stonic, who was also involved in the accident, reported that he honked and got out of his vehicle after the collision, but the driver of the Opel Corsa fled the scene.
The name of the woman involved in the accident is not publicly disclosed. The Kia sustained damage estimated to be around 1,500 euros, while the Opel Corsa's damage, including the bumper and fender, is estimated to cost around 2,500 euros.
Investigations are ongoing, and the police have confirmed that they have information about the license plate of the culprit's vehicle. The owner of the Opel Astra had parked the car near house number 83a on Otterberger Straße last Thursday around 11 am.
