On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, an accident involving an unidentified cyclist and a 16-year-old resident of Herne occurred at approximately 2:30 PM. The incident took place at house number 75 on Blücherstraße in the district of Herne-Horsthausen.

The 16-year-old, who was riding an E-scooter, sustained minor injuries in the accident. The unknown cyclist, described as a man around 180 cm tall, slim, with a shaved head, unkempt teeth, and wearing dark work clothes, struck the teenager from the side while merging onto the bike lane.
