Traffic Accident in Sprockhövel: Two Vehicles Collide at Querspange/Hiddinghauser Straße Intersection
On August 28, 2025, at around 3:30 PM, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Querspange/Hiddinghauser Straße in Sprockhövel. The accident involved a Mercedes and a VW.
According to the Ennepe-Ruhr-Kreis Police Department, the Mercedes driver, a 31-year-old from Gaggenau, was only permitted to turn right at the intersection but proceeded straight. As a result, the Mercedes collided with the VW, which was a crossing, priority vehicle, driven by a 26-year-old from Sprockhövel.
Both drivers were slightly injured in the accident. One person from the VW was severely injured and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The vehicles involved in the accident were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away.
