Accident Involving Stolen Vehicle: Police Investigation Underway

On the evening of September 5, an incident involving a stolen Skoda occurred on Hermannsburgstraße towards Gummersbach. According to the Circles Police Department Oberbergischer Kreis, the car was previously stolen from Marktstraße, Gummersbach, by two men outside a restaurant earlier that evening.

The incident took place around 21:40, and the driver, who has not been identified, collided with the curb and a parked Dacia, causing the Skoda to overturn and land on its roof. The driver fled the scene on foot after the accident.

The car was recovered after the incident, but the suspect's identity remains undisclosed. Both the men involved in the theft and the suspect are described as being approximately in their mid-20s. One of the men had black hair and was wearing a black hoodie, while the second man had a black cap on.
