Accident Occurs with E-scooter, Driver Suffers Minor Injuries; Witness Called to Provide Account
On Tuesday evening (12th August), a traffic accident occurred on the Fritz-Schupp-Allee near the bus stop 'Kohlenwäsche'. A 14-year-old e-scooter rider was slightly injured in the accident.
According to the reports, the e-scooter rider was traveling towards Gelsenkirchener Straße on the Fritz-Schupp-Allee when a grey car with an Essen license plate overtook him near the 'Kohlenwäsche' bus stop. During the overtaking, the car brushed against the e-scooter rider, causing him to fall.
The driver of the car involved in the accident fled the scene after the accident. The immediate search for the fleeing driver was unsuccessful.
