Accidents on the Road: Motorcycles, Pedestrians, Vehicles, and Burglaries
In the past weekend, several incidents and accidents were reported across various local regions.
In Metzingen, a driver lost control of his vehicle on Sunday morning, colliding with a traffic island and sustaining minor injuries. The incident caused a brief disruption to traffic flow, but the area was soon cleared. No further updates regarding the driver's condition have been provided.
Elsewhere in Metzingen, no new traffic accidents or incidents were reported. The same can be said for Bonlanden, Reichenbach, and the surroundings of the ruins of Rauber Castle.
However, on Sunday evening, a 53-year-old man caused several thousand euros worth of property damage at the roundabout Neue Rottweiler Straße / Kaullastraße. The man, who fled the scene with a preliminary breath alcohol level of over 0.9 per mille, has not been apprehended as of yet.
A tragic incident occurred near the ruins of Rauber Castle on Sunday morning, where an 80-year-old woman died in a hiking accident. The exact circumstances surrounding her death are still under investigation.
In Bonlanden, unknown individuals scratched the paint of several cars, causing at least €12,000 in damage. The perpetrators have not been identified.
A 17-year-old cyclist sustained minor injuries in a traffic accident on Sunday afternoon on the K6903, possibly due to a collision with an 8-year-old on a two-wheeler. Both parties involved in the accident were unharmed.
In Reutlingen, no new burglaries were reported, but specialists from the traffic police in Tübingen checked motorcyclists on the B312 near Oberstetten, finding defects and violations in eight out of around 40 vehicles.
In Wettenhalde Straße, an inn was targeted by a burglar over the weekend, resulting in approximately €2,000 in property damage. The incident is currently under investigation.
In Reichenbach, a child was injured in a traffic accident, but no further details have been released.
A 13-year-old girl was lightly injured in a traffic accident on Saturday afternoon while riding an e-scooter on Bahnhofstraße and crossing onto Olgastraße without checking for traffic. The girl is recovering from her injuries.
On Sunday evening, a motorcyclist was slightly injured on the L360 between Thanheim and Onstmettingen, due to a driving error that caused the rider to veer off the road and into a ditch. The motorcyclist was treated at the scene and has since been discharged.
In Römstein, a traffic accident occurred on Sunday afternoon involving a Seat Ateca and a Renault, resulting in injuries to both drivers and significant damage to the vehicles. The extent of the injuries and the current condition of the drivers are unknown.
No new cases of vandalism were reported in Denkendorf or any of the previously mentioned locations.
In Bad Urach, two motorcyclists were injured in a traffic accident on the L245 at around 3:30 pm. The exact circumstances surrounding the accident are still under investigation.
Cities recently affected by traffic accidents include Neubeckum, where two women were lightly injured on September 13, 2025, and Kehl, where three people were injured in an accident in Auenheim on August 11, 2025. Our thoughts are with those affected by these incidents.
