A 31-year-old man from Grevenbroich stands trial at the Moenchengladbach Regional Court, charged with raping a woman from Cologne over a year ago. The alleged incident occurred at his parents' apartment in Grevenbroich.

According to the prosecution, the woman was picked up by the suspect in July 2024 and harassed during the car ride. The suspect reportedly threatened to break her hands if she resisted during the rape. He also told her that she could make a lot of money if she prostituted herself for him. Out of fear, the woman initially agreed but asked to be taken to the train station to go home.

However, the suspect allegedly forced the woman to have oral sex in the car and then dragged her out by her hair to his parents' apartment, where he repeatedly raped her. The prosecution claims that the suspect also choked the woman during the rape and beat her in his parents' apartment.

Remarkably, the woman was able to leave the house after the rape. There is no publicly available information about an accused perpetrator in 2023 in Grevenbroich suspected of forcing a woman from Cologne into prostitution and subsequently raping her.

The suspect is also facing charges for attempting to force his former girlfriend into prostitution by violence around nine months ago. If convicted, the accused could face a long prison sentence for rape and bodily harm.

The trial is currently ongoing, and the public is following the proceedings closely. The accused has yet to enter a plea. The outcome of the trial could have significant implications for the victim and the community at large.
