Acer Introduces Compact AI Mini Workstation: The Veriton GN100
Acer has entered the AI mini-supercomputer market with the release of the Veriton GN100, a powerful and compact system designed for professional AI developers.
Based on Nvidia's Project Digits mini-supercomputer, the Veriton GN100 features Nvidia's GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip. This cutting-edge technology packs 20 ARM CPU cores and a GPU with one petaFLOP of FP4 floating point performance.
The Veriton GN100 measures just 150 x 150 x 50.5mm, making it a perfect fit for space-constrained environments. It boasts four USB 3.2 Type-C ports, one HDMI 2.1b port, an RJ-45 Ethernet connector, and a proprietary Nvidia ConnectX-7 NIC.
The Veriton GN100 supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.1 for wireless connectivity. It also offers 128GB of LPDDR5x memory and can support up to four 4TB of M.2 NVMe storage.
The GB10 Superchip in the Veriton GN100 supports native Nvidia's proprietary NVFP4, a new FP4 standard that can significantly improve processing efficiency in AI workloads. The system's accuracy of processing with NVFP4 approaches BF16.
The Veriton GN100 benefits from Nvidia's AI software stack, including the CUDA toolkit, cuDNN, TensorRT, and popular AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, MXNet, and Jax.
Priced at $3,999 in North America, the Veriton GN100 is more attractive for dedicated, professional AI developers. However, availability of the system will vary by region.
Asus is also mentioned as a company creating versions of Nvidia's Project Digits mini-supercomputer, but the official availability dates for these versions have not been specified in the sources available.
