The ARD program director has announced that Wotan Wilke Möhring will be the new team captain on the popular quiz show "Who Knows What?". Known for his roles in the northern German "Tatort", Möhring brings humor, knowledge, ambition, and enthusiasm to his new role.

The quiz show, which has been entertaining audiences for years, achieved an impressive average market share of 20.2% in the total audience and 14.6% in the 20-59 age group during its 11th season.

Bernhard Hoecker, the quizmaster, is looking forward to every episode with Möhring as the new team captain. He offered the following advice to Möhring: "Just have fun. We're not in high-performance sports where you have to worry after every loss about staying in the team. We're here for entertainment and fun. If you go into such a show with pressure, you'll just end up tense."

Möhring was the preferred candidate for the role from the start, having previously been a guest on the quiz show. Bernhard Hoecker was immediately convinced by Möhring's appointment, and Kai Pflaume, the host, stated that Möhring is a likable person with the necessary qualities for a good team captain.

Elton, the former team captain, left the quiz team in April after ten years, seeking more time for himself, his family, and his friends. The new episodes of the quiz show will air from October 13th, weekdays at 6 pm on the first channel.

In addition, there will be "Who Knows What? XXL" on Saturday before, at 8:15 pm. However, there is no available information about the new co-captain of the quiz show for the season starting in October 2023.
