Actress Olivia Colman secretes her Academy Award.
In the world of cinema, Olivia Colman has made a significant impact. The 51-year-old actress, who married Ed Sinclair in 2001 and has three children, has been captivating audiences with her exceptional performances.
Colman's current film, "The Lost Daughter," is a modern retelling of the 1989 classic "The War of the Roses," and she stars alongside Benedict Cumberbatch. This project is produced by her husband, Ed Sinclair, who is 49 years old.
Colman rose to international fame with her role in the third season of "The Crown" in 2019, followed by her Oscar-winning performance in "The Favourite" as Queen Anne in the same year. For this role, she was 45 years old when she held the coveted statuette.
However, unlike many other stars, Colman prefers to keep her accomplishments under wraps. When she won the Best Actress Oscar, she did not display the trophy on a mantelpiece or shelf. Instead, she found a more unconventional hiding place for it.
Initially, the Oscar was kept in a damp area of her home, but a friend pointed out that this was not suitable for such a valuable item. After being advised, Colman moved the Oscar to a bookshelf, and now it is hidden behind a book. She keeps it there so she can still interact with it, but avoids showing it off as she finds such behaviour boastful.
Colman's home is a 1600s house, and it is here that she keeps her Oscar, hidden but close to her heart. The producer of "The Lost Daughter," Maggie Gyllenhaal, is also the film's director. This project promises to be another success for Colman, and we eagerly await its release.
