Advancement in Lübeck's OFF culture movement
The Culture Office of Lübeck has announced an information event named "Next Step Lübeck's OFF-Culture", set to take place at the TRANSITION HOUSE in Königstraße 54-56 on May 13, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This event aims to provide insights into the newly structured cultural promotion of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck, with a focus on the revised application procedure for project and institutional funding.
Since April 1, 2025, new funding instruments have been in effect, regulating the conditions for institutional funding and project funding. These changes aim to make the procedure from application to final report clearer and more uniform. The Lübeck City Parliament has also allocated an additional 120,000 euros for funding socio-cultural projects in the districts.
The event will offer cultural actors the opportunity to gain valuable insights into these changes. The focus will be on funding initiatives that actively involve citizens in planning and implementation, such as district festivals or cultural workshops. These funding opportunities aim to help further develop artistic profiles and build professional structures.
Detailed information on all funding opportunities will be available on-site on May 13 and online at www.luebeck.de/kulturfoerderung. Registration for the event is possible until May 5, 2025, via the website www.luebeck.de/next-step.
During the cultural development planning, the needs and concerns of cultural creators were recorded, including the need for transparent funding, development prospects for Lübeck's OFF-culture, and better financial equipment. In response, the city administration and politics have realigned the cultural promotion to address these needs.
The "Next Step Lübeck's OFF-Culture" event will still take place at the TRANSITION HOUSE, which continues to serve as the venue for this important gathering. Funding opportunities are available for actors in the independent performing arts for the years 2025 and 2026.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn more about the new funding opportunities and how they can help shape the cultural landscape of Lübeck. Register now at www.luebeck.de/next-step to secure your place at the event.
