African financial services company, Africa Prudential, reports a 75% profit before tax (PBT) increase and assets worth N41.35 billion during the first half of 2025.

Africa Prudential Plc, a leading financial services company, has announced impressive financial results for the first half of 2025. The company rewarded its shareholders with a historic bonus issue, a first in its history, as it continues to drive sustainable growth.

The company's Profit After Tax saw a significant increase of 73%, rising from N779 million in 2024 to N1.35 billion in 2025. This growth was mirrored in the Net Total Income, which surged by 64% to reach N3.3 billion in the first half of 2025, compared to N2 billion in the same period last year.

Catherine Nwosu, the Managing Director of Africa Prudential, attributed the company's strong performance to its diversified income base and resilience in a challenging macroeconomic environment. Operational efficiency also played a significant role, with the Cost-to-Income Ratio improving to 41%, down from 44% in 2024.

The company's Return on Average Assets was sustained at 3.3% for the first half of 2025, reflecting its solid financial foundation. The total assets of Africa Prudential Plc climbed to N41.35 billion as of June 2025, representing a 38% increase from N29.95 billion in the same period last year.

Shareholders' fund grew by 15% to N11 billion, despite a N1.2 billion dividend payout earlier in the year. This growth was a testament to the company's commitment to delivering value despite a challenging operating environment.

In a statement, Catherine Nwosu expressed the company's focus on innovation, operational excellence, expanding market presence, and leveraging technology to transform investor services. She emphasised the importance of maintaining this focus in order to continue delivering strong financial results.
