After a visit to Heide Park, the assessment of the recreational area is undoubtedly disappointing - 'It's absolutely unfortunate'
On August 23rd, theme park tester Benjamin Cornehl paid a visit to the Heide Park Resort in Soltau, Germany. It had been three years since his last visit, mainly due to the long journey.
Upon arrival, Benjamin was met with a landscape that he found enjoyable. However, to his surprise, the crowds were not as large as he expected, possibly due to the heavy rain that had been falling on the day of his visit.
Despite some attractions, including "Scream," not functioning properly during his visit, Benjamin found much to enjoy. He praised the attractions such as the "Nostalgia Carousel," "Ghostbusters 5D," "Colossos," and the "Bobbahn."
Benjamin also noted the positive service at the park, with employees responding professionally and positively to his approach. He was particularly surprised by the free entry to the Peppa Pig Land, unlike the Peppa Pig Park next to Legoland.
The Heide Park, the second-largest theme park in Germany, hasn't developed new attractions in several years. However, the park has made significant improvements, such as transforming the "Azura" water ride into a barrier-free attraction, expanding accessible accommodation options in the park's overnight village, and taking over a nearby hotel by Ebnisee for guest stays.
Recently, the park has added new attractions like a harvester vehicle play area with climbing elements and interactive features, a farmers' experience playground with a ball run and interactive elements.
Benjamin, however, finds "Toxis Garden" to be an attraction he hasn't ridden in a long time due to it causing more pain than enjoyment. He also considers "Krake" to be a "filler" attraction.
The Pyrogames were taking place at the Heide Park on the day of Benjamin's visit, leading to initial expectations of large crowds and long wait times. However, the rain may have deterred some visitors from rides, making for a more manageable experience.
Overall, Benjamin Cornehl finds the day at the Heide Park to be a positive experience, despite some malfunctioning attractions. He looks forward to his next visit.
