In Braunschweig, Germany, a 23-year-old man with a history of property offenses has been arrested and sentenced to six months' imprisonment without probation, following the theft of a smartphone from a pregnant woman.

The incident occurred on August 18, 20XX, at around 12:15 PM in a supermarket located on Wendenring, as reported by the Braunschweig Police. The victim's husband reported the theft to the authorities, and the supermarket management was contacted to review CCTV footage.
