In an unexpected turn of events, a flight operated by Kazakh airline Bek Air returned twice to Almaty Airport on a journey intended for Shymkent. The flight, which departed from Almaty at 20:57, was delayed by more than 10 hours due to adverse weather conditions in Shymkent.

The plane, carrying hundreds of passengers, including children and those with disabilities, was forced to circle the city of Shymkent for hours before returning to Almaty Airport. During the return journey, passengers reported experiencing severe turbulence and shaking.

Upon their arrival back at Almaty Airport, passengers spent the night at the terminal, with food provided by the airline to help them through the long wait. Despite the challenging circumstances, the plane landed safely at Almaty Airport.

However, the ordeal didn't end there for many passengers. Only 78 passengers successfully arrived at their destination in Shymkent, with more than 90 people having to be rebooked or receive refunds for their tickets.

With the inconvenience and discomfort endured, passengers are now demanding compensation for moral damages. As of now, no information has been provided about the current status of the passengers or the plane.

The weather conditions in Shymkent, which initially prevented the plane from landing, were a significant factor in the flight's delayed return to Almaty. Bek Air, the Kazakh airline operating the flight, has yet to release a statement regarding the incident or any potential compensation for the affected passengers.

This incident serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by airlines and passengers during adverse weather conditions. Passengers are advised to stay updated on their flight status and be prepared for potential delays or cancellations when travelling during inclement weather.
