Airstrikes via drones have caused significant disruptions in air traffic, leading to extensive flight delays in the designated area.

In St. Petersburg, Russia, a series of events unfolded at Pulkovo Airport following a drone attack warning issued by Governor Alexander Drozdenko on August 23. The warning was confirmed by a representative of Rosaviation, Artem Korenyako, who announced that the airport had resumed operations after a temporary halt.

However, the resumption of operations has been far from smooth. Dozens of flights, both domestic and international, have been delayed, causing a significant disruption to travel plans. Among the affected flights are S7 5004 and S7 5006 to Novosibirsk, as well as DP 589 to Kaliningrad.

Passengers waiting for their flights have been offered water and food according to regulations, but many of those whose flights have been delayed are finding themselves in less than ideal conditions. With few seating areas available, some passengers have been forced to sit on the floor.

Despite the disruptions, there are no reported damages or casualties from the attack. Six downed drones have been reported, with Gatchina and Kirishi being targeted, according to Governor Drozdenko. Simultaneously, the governor of Lipetsk region also issued a drone attack warning.

Meanwhile, Kazan Airport has introduced temporary restrictions on arrivals and departures. The exact reasons for these restrictions are not yet clear.

In response to the security concerns, flight delays are expected at Pulkovo Airport. The airport authorities are working to manage the situation and ensure the safety of all passengers.

Governor Drozdenko reported on the strikes, and while the incident has caused significant inconvenience, it is reassuring that there have been no reported damages or casualties. The situation at Pulkovo Airport is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
