Alcohol-induced road accident resulting in property damage (Poland-EU)

A significant traffic accident occurred in Euskirchen, Germany, on February 14th at approximately 8:50 PM, along Erftstraße. The incident involved three vehicles, resulting in extensive damage to all vehicles involved.
According to preliminary investigations by the Circles Police Department Euskirchen, the accident occurred when a 45-year-old resident of Euskirchen, who was driving one of the vehicles, lost control while turning left onto Erftstraße. It is suspected that inappropriate speed may have played a role in the loss of control.
The driver's vehicle collided with a parked car on the right side of the road, causing a chain reaction that also impacted another parked car ahead. As a result, both parked cars were rendered undrivable.
Following the accident, a preliminary breath test showed an alcohol level of 1.46 per mille for the driver. Subsequently, a blood sample was taken from the driver at the Euskirchen police station for further analysis.
The total damage to the vehicles involved is estimated to be in the high four-digit euro range.
The Circles Police Department Euskirchen continues to investigate the traffic accident, and the driver has been prohibited from operating motor vehicles requiring a license.
