All-new, autonomous rideshare service Zoox lauded at Resorts World Las Vegas debut.
May 29, 2025
In a groundbreaking move, Resorts World Las Vegas has partnered with autonomous rideshare service Zoox, a subsidiary of Amazon, to offer guests driverless transportation around the city. This strategic alliance designates Zoox as the official robotaxi service for the resort.
Zoox, known for its autonomous vehicles, enables individuals to travel in driverless electric vehicles. With a dedicated pick-up and drop-off location at the main entrance of Resorts World Las Vegas, Zoox will also have the opportunity to promote its service directly to guests throughout the property.
Carlos Castro, President and Chief Financial Officer of Resorts World Las Vegas, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, "This collaboration prepares our destination for the future of guest experiences. Integrating technology solutions that elevate our service offerings and enhance how guests experience our property will create new possibilities for our guests."
Currently, Zoox is conducting tests in Las Vegas and San Francisco, with plans to launch official service throughout Southern Nevada later this year. After completing regulatory approvals, Zoox also plans to launch its robotaxi service in San Francisco. Testing is underway in Miami and Austin as well.
Resorts World Las Vegas continues to prioritize technology, offering a digital concierge, cashless gaming through its app, and 65-inch LED Smart TVs in most guestrooms. The app can be used to make purchases throughout the resort and everywhere Mastercard is accepted, adding another layer of convenience for guests.
Recent challenges, such as a software recall following an incident in San Francisco, have not deterred Zoox from advancing its autonomous technology in Las Vegas, reflecting the company's commitment to becoming a leader in this field.
