New Trainees and Interns Join the City of Hürth

A group of 14 new trainees and interns have started their positions in the city of Hürth, following a rigorous selection process that attracted 383 applicants. The newcomers were greeted by Mayor Dirk Breuer at the town hall and were praised for their excellent achievement.

The city is offering a variety of training opportunities, with the new trainees set to be trained as city inspector apprentices, fire service apprentices, specialists for bath operations, system integration IT specialists, and as administrative specialists and emergency medical technicians.

To provide more information about these opportunities, two career information events have been organised. The first event will take place on September 11, 2025, at the "Marketplace of Opportunities" in the Bolzplatz Hürth, from 1 pm. This event will also offer insights into working for the city of Hürth.

On the same day, the city of Hürth will have a stand at the event for interested parties to discuss training opportunities. The second event will take place on September 17, 2025, at the Turkish General Consulate. This event will also provide information about working for the city of Hürth, and another career information event will take place on September 17.

The head of the personnel department, Gerda Marx, the training manager, Daniela Jonas, the chairman of the works council, Karl-Heinz Hellmick, the deputy PR representative, Sonja Flock, the equal opportunities officer, Silke Naumann, Manuela Tänzler as deputy representative for severely disabled persons, as well as Lea Schultz, Lena Wolf and Moritz Baier from the youth and trainee representation, were present to support the new trainees and interns.

The citizens of the city have placed their trust in the new trainees and interns, and they will be assured of support in all questions from the mentioned individuals. Currently, 57 individuals are undergoing training or a one-year internship with the city of Hürth.
