Nestled in the heart of Aspen, Colorado, a modern home named "The All Inn" stands out as a welcoming beacon for friends and family. This unique residence, designed by interior designer Ghislaine Viñas, is a daring departure from traditional mountain homes, offering a refreshing blend of modernism and traditional Swiss ski resort influences.

The home's most prominent feature is its bold red exterior, a nod to the iconic Swiss flag and ski patrol jackets. This daring colour choice sets the tone for the rest of the home, which is filled with vibrant hues such as emerald greens, sulfur yellows, and powder blues.

Inside, the open dining room features red wooden chairs that echo traditional Swiss designs, each one bearing the initials of family members. These bold colours bring a modern and spirited energy to the space, creating an inviting atmosphere that is both warm and lively.

Contemporary art plays an essential role in defining the home's lively atmosphere. The art in the home is carefully curated by the client, Paige West, from her collection called 'The West Collection.' One guest room features a canary yellow headboard with a portrait by American artist Mark Mulroney incorporated into the woodwork, adding a touch of whimsy to the space.

The interiors redefine what a traditional ski home can be in Aspen, eschewing rustic elements typical of mountain homes. Instead, the design features a sophisticated, Scandinavian material palette dominated by calm white oak surfaces. Unique colour stories are applied to each guest bedroom, maintaining the high energy throughout the home.

The architecture was opened up with large expanses of windows and a gabled roof, allowing the natural landscape to become an integral part of the home's design. The modernized apartment in Aspen with colourful accents and intense saturated hues was designed by the interior designer Andres Escobar, who worked alongside Ghislaine Viñas to reimagine the modern home for a longtime friend and client.

Ghislaine Viñas injected bold, energizing schemes into the home, creating a striking contrast with the light white oak architectural detailing. The use of daring red, for instance, adds a burst of colour to the living room, while the lightwells in one guest room are covered in varying shades of yellow with a wood-grain motif by English artist Richard Woods, adding a touch of sophistication to the space.

The Aspen modern home features Bauhaus modernism and a sleek modern mountain style. Ghislaine's layered, bright narrative design is a welcome sight, offering a dose of energy against the natural landscape. The home underwent a dramatic overhaul by Aspen's S2 Architects and local contractor Madigan + Company, transforming it into a vibrant and inviting space that is as much a work of art as it is a home.

In conclusion, "The All Inn" is a testament to the power of bold design and the fusion of traditional and modern influences. It stands as a unique and welcoming addition to the ski homes of Aspen, offering a fresh perspective on what a ski home can be.
