Altercation occurring at subway station
Last night, an unsettling incident unfolded at the Leinestraße U-Bahn station in Neukölln. Around 9 PM, an unknown individual approached a 31-year-old man, attempting to buy his headphones. However, the transaction did not go as planned.
The suspect, who has not been identified, initiated a physical altercation with the victim. During the altercation, the suspect is reported to have grabbed the 31-year-old's neck and headphones. In a shocking turn of events, the suspect allegedly bit off a piece of the victim's right ear.
Despite the violent nature of the incident, the suspect did not leave with the victim's headphones. Instead, the suspect fled the U-Bahn station, leaving the victim in distress.
The police were promptly notified, and a police operation was launched at the scene. Emergency services arrived and took the 31-year-old to a hospital for treatment. As of the current report, the victim is currently receiving outpatient care for his injuries.
The police investigation into this attempted robbery and assault is still ongoing. The specialized unit from Police Directorate 5 (City) is handling the case. Unfortunately, the suspect remains at large, and no arrests have been made as of yet.
