Alvin Stafford, the Chief True Officer, Steers with Resolute Direction
In the world of marketing, few stories are as inspiring as that of Alvin Stafford. The Chief True Officer and partner at Think TRUE, a Black-owned and minority-led marketing consultancy, has an impressive background in multicultural, purpose- and authenticity-led marketing.
Stafford's professional journey with Nike began in an unlikely place - Venice Beach, California. It was here, on a basketball court, that he met Deb Murray, who was working at Nike at the time. Murray, now Deb Lemon, introduced Stafford to a position managing a Nike event space.
Before his time with Nike, Stafford had been running a boutique agency called The Blueprint Collective, which specialised in basketball, community, and entertainment marketing. However, his professional interaction with Nike was not at The Blueprint Collective or Think TRUE.
Stafford's 15 years of experience in multicultural, purpose- and authenticity-led marketing have been instrumental in his success. He managed a Nike event space during his time with the company, a role that showcased his expertise in this area.
Think TRUE, the consultancy where Stafford now holds a prominent position, is also Black-owned and minority-led. It is a testament to Stafford's commitment to diversity and inclusion in the marketing industry.
In his current role at Think TRUE, Stafford continues to make a significant impact. His work is characterised by a focus on multicultural marketing strategies that are authentic and purpose-driven.
From the basketball court of Venice Beach to the event spaces of Nike, and now as a leader at Think TRUE, Alvin Stafford's journey is a testament to his passion for marketing and his dedication to making a difference.
