"'Amazed and emotional': LE SSERAFIM's heartfelt reflection following their initial US tour performance, a long-held aspiration achieved'
In a night filled with energy and empowerment, South Korean girl group LE SSERAFIM took the stage at Newark's Prudential Center for their sold-out show on Sept. 3. The performance, part of their first North America tour, 'EASY CRAZY HOT', featured hits like "EASY," "CRAZY," "ANTIFRAGILE," and "SMART."
The members, including KIM CHAEWON, SAKURA, HUH YUNJIN, KAZUHA, and HONG EUNCHAE, delivered a 'HOT' and 'EASY' performance that left the audience in awe. YUNJIN, a member who grew up in New York, expressed her excitement before the show, saying, "I can't believe this is my life, guys."
For YUNJIN, the moment was particularly special. Having overcome many barriers and obstacles as a young Korean American girl growing up in Albany, she found herself performing at the very same Prudential Center where she once sat as a fan watching her favorite performer. She tearfully hugged CHAEWON during the show, expressing her feelings about the moment.
LE SSERAFIM have become the embodiment of female empowerment, learning to be fearless in pursuit of their dreams. They partnered with hello82 NYC for a free activity event called Play82 in SoHo and attended the US Open as guests of Ralph Lauren. The event with Danielle Guizio was held at a pop-up in SoHo.
The concert had about 16,000 fans, affectionately known as FEARNOT. YUNJIN stated that she went back and sat in the same seat after their rehearsals the day before the show, a poignant reminder of her journey. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to perform with her best friends and live her dream.
The tour continues with stops in Chicago on Sept. 5 at the Wintrust Arena and Texas Trust CU Center in Grand Prairie. This tour in North America consists of eight cities in total. LE SSERAFIM have learned to "turn the other cheek and lead with love," a testament to their resilience and determination. Their empowering performances and messages continue to inspire fans across the globe.
