AMC Theatres introduces cost-effective "Slash Pass" for horror film enthusiasts, coinciding with the release of 'The Conjuring: The Last Rites'

AMC Theatres, the largest theatre circuit in the country, has announced a limited-time ticketing program called the "AMC Slash Pass." The program was launched to celebrate the fall lineup of horror movies and their popularity among Gen Z audiences.

The announcement of the AMC Slash Pass coincides with the release of the highly anticipated horror movie, "The Conjuring: Last Rites." Currently in cinemas, the film is on course for a record-shattering domestic opening of $65 million or more, suggesting it doesn't need any help with its box office performance.

The AMC Slash Pass provides moviegoers with six admissions to participating horror films at AMC Theatres locations nationwide for just $66.66. Guests can redeem their six admissions across multiple participating titles, or bring five friends and apply all six admissions to the same participating film, or mix and match other combinations.

The Slash Pass can be used to see "The Conjuring: Last Rites," along with upcoming releases such as "The Long Walk" (Sept. 12), "Him" (Sept. 19), and "The Strangers - Chapter 2" (Sept. 26). Over the Oct. 3-5 weekend, the Slash Pass can be used for "Good Boy," "Shelby Oaks," and "Bone Lake."

In addition to the new releases, the Slash Pass can also be used for a selection of classic horror titles returning to more than 200 AMC locations this October as part of the circuit's Thrills & Chills banner. These include "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (Oct. 1), "Friday the 13th" (Oct. 8), "Candyman" (Oct. 15), "Scream" (Oct. 22), and "Terrifier" (Oct. 19).
