Android Chimney Vendor, Startup Beyond Appliances, Secures $4 Million in Funding

Beyond Appliances, a kitchen appliances startup based in Bengaluru, has announced that it has secured $4 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by existing investor Fireside Ventures, with participation from Dharana Capital.

The startup, which focuses on building smart kitchen devices tailored for Indian households, operates four factories in Bengaluru, producing about 8,000-10,000 units per month. With rising demand, it plans to establish two additional facilities by the end of this financial year to bolster capacity.

Beyond Appliances' current product line includes a smart stove with digital timers and whistle counters, Android-powered chimneys, plug-and-play chimneys, and smart hobs. The startup aims to make high-quality, beautifully designed appliances the standard in every home.

The combined stove and chimney market in India is estimated to be worth $2 billion. Stoves are growing at a 10% annual rate as a replacement-led category, while chimneys are expanding faster at a 25% CAGR. Beyond Appliances is capitalising on this growth, with about 80% of its sales coming from online marketplaces.

The startup had previously secured $2 million in November 2024, also from Fireside Ventures. Fireside Ventures believes Beyond Appliances is perfectly poised for long-term growth due to its strong manufacturing foundation, customer-centric approach, and relentless focus on innovation.

Beyond Appliances is focusing on premiumisation, targeting increased consumer appetite for safety features and digitally integrated appliances. Metro and tier-I cities account for 60% of Beyond Appliances' sales. The startup plans to expand its offline presence to Mumbai and Delhi by partnering with large-format retailers and modern trade chains.

Eshwar K Vikas, Co-Founder & CEO of Beyond Appliances, stated that the startup aims to create a category-defining brand that reimagines home and kitchen experiences for millions of households across India. The startup's vision is to double its annual revenue run rate of about Rs 50 crore within a year.

While the name of the founder of Beyond Appliances was not provided in the search results, the startup sells its products through its own website, Amazon, Flipkart, and select retail outlets in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
