Annual Charity Race in vicinity of Bucharest for providing aid to struggling mothers and their offspring in 2025

The fourth edition of the Run for Life charity sporting event is set to take place on September 27, 2023, in the picturesque forests of Codrii Vlașiei near Snagov. This year, the event organised by the Life Call Association, in collaboration with the Bundesverband Lebensrecht (Federal Association for the Right to Life), introduces a unique competition for schools and kindergartens participating in the event.

The competition aims to incentivize school and kindergarten participation in the Run for Life event. The institution that brings the largest number of participants will be publicly recognised and will receive educational activities for children. These activities are designed to enrich the learning experience of the children, including surprises such as visits to museums and theatres, and educational sessions on recycling awareness by Varta Romania.

The social mission of Run for Life extends beyond the sporting event. The event emphasizes its commitment to helping pregnant women in Romania who face rejection from their families and a lack of resources. This year's edition aims to raise funds for the construction of the Maternal Life Call Center, a planned maternal center that will offer psychological counseling, education, medical care, and the chance of a new beginning alongside their children. The Maternal Life Call Center will provide shelter and support for up to 50 pregnant women in vulnerable situations and their children.

The Run for Life program includes five races tailored to all levels: a 22 km long run, a 12 km medium run, a 6 km short run, a 3 km family run, and children's races ranging from 200 to 800 meters. Registrations for the event are now open online.

Whether you're an avid runner or simply looking for a way to contribute to a worthy cause, the Run for Life 2023 offers an opportunity to make a difference while enjoying a day in nature. So, lace up your running shoes and join the Run for Life community as we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable pregnant women and their children.
