Apple, known for revolutionising the tech industry, is set to venture into a new frontier with the development of a table robot. According to a recent report by Bloomberg, the futuristic device is scheduled to launch in 2027.

The table robot, still in prototype status, may undergo changes before its market launch. The device features a 7-inch display, mounted on a movable arm that can rotate and extend in all directions. The movable arm can extend by about six inches, resembling the iconic "Pixar lamp" design.

The display, similar in size to an iPad, will enable FaceTime calls with a feature similar to Center Stage. The table robot serves as an AI-based companion, functioning as a more interactive version of an iPad or iPhone.

In addition, a new version of Siri, Apple's voice assistant, is currently in development for the robot. However, it's worth noting that the robot, as of now, lacks Siri with Apple Intelligence, which could potentially delay its release beyond 2027.

The table robot is designed to be optionally controlled by a joystick. Despite the specific details about the robot's functionality or capabilities not being provided in the report, it's clear that Apple aims to create a more engaging and interactive home technology experience.

The development of the table robot marks Apple's first reported venture into the robotics market. Details about who will be responsible for the development of this product, if it is realised, remain undisclosed.

As the world eagerly awaits the launch of Apple's table robot in 2027, it's exciting to imagine the possibilities this new technology could bring to our homes and lives.
