Apple Music Transference Utility Now Accessible in Germany
In a recent update, Apple has expanded its music transfer tool to several countries, including Germany, Canada, France, Mexico, the UK, Brazil, and the USA. This feature, announced through an updated Apple Support Document, allows users to transfer their saved music, albums, and playlists from other music services to Apple Music.
The tool, which was launched in Australia and New Zealand in May 2025, is not limited to music from Spotify; it can import from other music services as well. However, it's important to note that the transfer process does not apply to playlists generated by music services, only those created by users.
The partnership that makes this possible is with SongShift, a service that helps users move their music collections between different platforms. The transfer process can be initiated on the Apple Music website or by launching the Apple Music app on an iPhone or iPad via the "Music App". If the option is not visible on the iPhone or iPad, the transfer process can be initiated on the Apple Music website.
During the transfer process, the tool flags titles that require review if no matches are found during the transfer process. This ensures that the user's music collection is accurately transferred to Apple Music.
While the expansion to these countries marks a significant step, it's not the end of the road for the Apple Music music transfer tool. The company has hinted at the possibility of extending the tool to more countries in the coming months. As of now, no specific countries have been announced for the next expansion.
In using the Apple Music music transfer tool, users can enjoy their favourite tunes across different platforms, making their music collection more accessible and convenient than ever before.
