Germany's National Self-Exclusion Program for Gambling, OASIS, Reaches Over 340,000 Registrations

Germany's national self-exclusion program for gambling, OASIS, was launched in July 2021 under the responsibility of the regulatory authorities established under the German Interstate Treaty on Gambling (GlüStV). This program was introduced to enhance control and protection in the gambling market in Germany.

According to the latest official data, OASIS has recorded almost 350,000 registrations during its first four years of operations. Of these registrations, reported through 14 August 2025, a significant number of users have opted for long-term self-exclusion. Specifically, 22,381 individuals have chosen the longest possible blocking period, which is over 10 years.

The data on OASIS registrations, however, does not provide information on the demographic distribution of the users. It also does not indicate any changes in the eligibility criteria or the scope of the program.
