In the quiet residential area of Freiburg-Weingarten, an unusual incident unfolded on August 30, 2025, in the afternoon. The event, which has since been the subject of much discussion, began with several witnesses reporting a sighting of a man riding a bicycle with a rifle on Sulzburger Street.
The man, identified as a 35-year-old individual, was observed by multiple witnesses before his encounter with the police in Freiburg-Weingarten. Concerned by the unusual behaviour, the authorities initiated a search for the suspicious man.
The police's efforts proved successful, as the suspect was found in an apartment in Freiburg-Weingarten shortly after the search began. The suspect was temporarily arrested without incident.
