In a significant development, a 59-year-old Iranian man was arrested by the Bielefeld Police on Wednesday, 03.09.2025, in connection with the illegal trafficking of heroin. The incident took place around 5:00 PM on the parking lot of a variety store near a supermarket parking lot on Hakenort Street.

According to the Police Headquarters Bielefeld, the 59-year-old man, known for multiple instances of heroin trafficking, was apprehended after a controlled operation. During the arrest, a high four-figure sum of money was found on him.

The 28-year-old Bielefeld resident, an Iraqi citizen, who was also present during the incident, is now facing charges for attempted purchase of narcotics. He had served a prison sentence for his previous drug trafficking activities.

Both individuals are currently in custody. The 59-year-old dealer was presented to the Bielefeld District Court on Thursday, 04.09.2025.

The seized drugs were assessed as a significant amount of heroin and a cutting agent. The 59-year-old man was also found to be using a motorcycle without the necessary license.
