Hamburg Stabbing Incident: 17-Year-Old Suspect Provisionally Arrested

In an unfortunate turn of events, a 22-year-old man was found with multiple stab wounds on his upper body at Steintorplatz in Hamburg-St. Georg on October 15, 2024, at 19:45. The incident took place in the dangerous area of St. Georg, Hamburg, Germany.

According to Polizei Hamburg, the State Criminal Police Office initiated an investigation, leading to the provisional arrest of a 17-year-old suspect. The search warrant for the suspect's residences in Hamburg-Tonndorf was obtained by the public prosecutor's office.

The 17-year-old suspect, who is a Tunisian national, was taken into provisional custody during a search by police officers. The investigation is being conducted by the Specialist Commission for Violent Crimes of the Central Region I (LKA 113).

The 22-year-old man was taken into custody to enforce his AV and transported to Police Station 11. He was subsequently taken to a hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries and underwent surgery. The ongoing investigation by the Homicide Commission (LKA 41) and the Public Prosecutor's Office for Capital Offenses has not yet revealed any concrete evidence against the 17-year-old.

Simultaneously, another check by Hamburg Police on Steintamm led to the arrest of a 22-year-old man due to an existing ban on stay (AV) for the dangerous area of St. Georg.

At this moment, there is no publicly available information about an arrested primary suspect related to the murder case on October 15, 2024, at Steintorplatz in Hamburg-St. Georg. The investigation continues, including the background of the crime and possible further perpetrators.
