Luxury Condo Raid Reveals Illegal Gambling Network in Pattaya, Thailand

Crime busters dug their teeth into a high-end condo in the heart of Pattaya, apprehending two young scoundrels suspected of running FAST24H, an illicit gambling website raking in a whopping 9 million baht a month.

Playing detective, Pol Maj Gen Kritchat Bumrung-rattanasot, commander of the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau Region 4, led a heated raid on a condo in Bang Lamung district. Armed with a search warrant issued by the Pattaya Provincial Court, the team collared Chanachai Sumsame, 22, and Siwakorn Kaewtham, 24 — the prime suspects in the gambling network.

Inside the condo, officers seized numerous incriminating items: desktop computers, seven bank passbooks, nine electronic banking cards (debit cards), firearms, and rounds of ammunition. The hunt for FAST24H led law enforcers to a trove of digital evidence that confirmed the duo as masterminds behind the operation.

FAST24H marketed itself as a haven for online gamblers, offering a multitude of high-stakes games, such as slot machines, fish shooting, card games, and baccarat. The operation had thrived for at least four months and snagged over 6,800 registered users. Transaction records suggest that the monthly financial haul amounted to a staggering 9 million baht.

Chanachai and Siwakorn were believed to have managed the criminal network's operations from their Pattaya headquarters, earning them charges for collaborating to organize, lure, advertise, and induce others to gamble using unauthorized electronic media. The authorities also accused them of unlawful possession and employment of firearms and ammunition.

The FAST24H takedown sheds light on the sophistication of these illegal online gambling rings and the relentless efforts by Thai law enforcement to root them out. The operation's impressive scale emphasizes the ongoing battle between authorities and cybercrime networks. With unwavering dedication, police continue to safeguard Thailand from the clutches of crime.

In the aftermath of the Luxury Condo raid, the seizure of gambling-related items and firearms points towards a connection between general news and crime-and-justice, indicating the involvement of the suspected duo, Chanachai Sumsame and Siwakorn Kaewtham, in casino-and-gambling activities beyond legal boundaries. The ongoing investigation into FAST24H highlights the importance of monitoring such illegal gambling networks in the realm of general news and crime-and-justice reports.
