Arrests Made by Federal Police Due to Warrants at BPOL-KI

In a series of incidents over the weekend, the Federal Police Inspection Kiel made three arrests at Kiel Central Station and Lübeck Central Station.

On Saturday, a 35-year-old Slovak was arrested for failing to pay a fine. The individual was able to settle the €375 fine and was subsequently released from police custody. No further information about this arrest was provided.

On the same day, a 34-year-old Czech was apprehended at Lübeck train station at 6:00 a.m. for a sexual offense. The search did not return the name of the individual, and the dog owned by the Czech was temporarily taken to a local animal shelter by a pet taxi.

The previous day, on September 6, 2025, the Federal Police Inspection Kiel arrested a 59-year-old Pole for violating the freedom of movement law and was unable to pay a €2,700 fine.

The Federal Police Directorate in Bad Bramstedt, which is responsible for tasks in Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and the North and Baltic Seas, does not appear to have been involved in these arrests. However, it is important to note that the Federal Police Directorate in Bad Bramstedt is the only federal police directorate with a maritime component, "Federal Police Sea," to monitor the sea border in the North and Baltic Seas (Schengen external border).

The Federal Police Directorate in Bad Bramstedt employs approximately 2,600 staff members and has Federal Police Inspections in Flensburg, Kiel, Rostock, Stralsund, and Pasewalk, as well as a Federal Police Inspection for Combating Crime in Rostock and a Mobile Control and Monitoring Unit.
