Arrests made on six individuals; further investigation leads to search for one more suspect following a shooting incident in downtown London.

The London Police Service (LPS) is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the city centre on Sunday morning. The incident, which took place near John Street and Richmond Street, has left one suspect at large, while six others are in custody.

According to the LPS, the shooting incident resulted in the discharge of a firearm, and evidence of this was found at the scene. Fortunately, the shooting victim was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

In an effort to gather more information about the incident, the LPS is asking for the public's help. Information can also be sent anonymously to London Middlesex Crime Stoppers.

As part of their investigation, the LPS reviewed video surveillance and identified a vehicle involved in the incident. With the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police, the vehicle was located and stopped outside of the city. A firearm has been recovered by the police, but the male suspect remains at large.

Neighbors reported that police were using metal detectors and searching a parking lot that joins John Street and Mill Street. The investigation into the shooting incident is ongoing, and the LPS encourages anyone with information to come forward and help bring the remaining suspect to justice.
