In a recent development, a 55-year-old woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, was arrested in Stuttgart-Möhringen on January 22, 2025. The woman, a Slovak national, is accused of attempting to defraud a 97-year-old woman of valuable items worth tens of thousands of euros.

According to the Police Headquarters Stuttgart, the fraudulent activity involved a phone call claiming to be from a police officer and a request for a bail payment. The 97-year-old woman's 68-year-old daughter, who was present, recognized the scam and contacted the police.

The police, along with the daughter, set up a fake money handover. The suspected pickup person was arrested when they rang the doorbell. Over a thousand euros in cash and several mobile phones were found on the 55-year-old during her arrest.

The mobile phones found on the 55-year-old during her arrest are currently being examined. The results of these examinations are yet to be disclosed.

The 55-year-old was brought before a judge on January 23, 2025, and a detention order was issued and enforced, remanding her into custody.
