Assemble in Atlanta! Witness North America's Largest Freestanding LED Display Screen

In a groundbreaking collaboration, Capital Signs and Nanolumens have completed a unique project at Assembly Atlanta. The centrepiece of this venture is a 140-foot-tall tower, boasting an LED display that stretches approximately 136 feet.

The entrance to Assembly Atlanta is adorned by North America's largest freestanding LED screen, a magnificent creation by Nanolumens. The LED tower, standing at approximately 140 feet tall and 22 feet wide, has become a beacon of innovation in the city.

The project presented several challenges, particularly due to the tower's triangular shape and the wind exposure from all directions. This unique structure also faced additional weather-related stresses. To overcome these hurdles, both Capital Signs and Nanolumens employed substantial custom engineering.

The LED tower incorporates two different pixel pitches that change as you move upward, adding to its visual appeal. The display was mounted on a custom solution developed by Nanolumens, integrating seamlessly with the tower's design. The engineers at Nanolumens determined an acceptable deflection rate for the display and developed a mounting system capable of accommodating it.

Capital Signs contributed to the LED wall by housing it within a distinctive, egg-shaped metal shell that wraps around the triangular structure. This metallic casing not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also provides structural support.

The display at Assembly Atlanta was integrated with a content management system from Acquire Digital, giving the customer full control over scheduling and maintaining content. This system ensures the LED tower remains a dynamic and engaging addition to the Atlanta skyline.

The customer has expressed immense satisfaction with the work done by both Capital Signs and Nanolumens. The final result of the project has exceeded expectations, and both companies are proud of what they've accomplished together.

This is not the first time Capital Signs and Nanolumens have collaborated on complex, one-of-a-kind projects. They have previously worked together on multi-sided displays and curved displays. Their partnership extends to numerous projects in Atlanta, including the Atlanta Airport and downtown Atlanta.

The LED tower at Assembly Atlanta is mounted on a purpose-built engineering framework, an open-shell structure designed solely to support this installation.
