The Czech automaker Skoda has announced the facelift of its popular compact hatchback, the Scala. The refreshed model promises a new design, increased power, and a host of innovative features, while maintaining its spacious interior and boot space.
The Scala Facelift presents a revamped front and rear design, with newly designed headlights, a revised radiator grille, and updated rear lights. The Scala Facelift also sports a revised tailgate logo, giving it a fresh and contemporary look.
Under the hood, the Scala Facelift offers a power increase compared to its predecessor, with the four-cylinder engine delivering up to 265 PS. The model may also be available with a three-cylinder engine.
Inside the cabin, the Scala Facelift benefits from new upholstery and an updated air conditioning system control logic. Skoda's signature Simply Clever solutions are present, offering practical features such as an umbrella in the door trim, a parking ticket holder on the windshield, an ice scraper in the fuel filler cap, a smartphone storage option on the back of the front seats, a storage box for the center tunnel in the rear, and a foot-operated electric tailgate.
The Scala Facelift is equipped with a digital cockpit, an 8-inch display, and an 8.25-inch infotainment display. An optional navigation system can be operated via a 9.2-inch touchscreen.
Safety features are not compromised in the Scala Facelift. Standard assistance systems include a front assist system with pedestrian recognition, lane assist, and traffic sign recognition. Additional systems such as park assist, blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and a multifunction steering wheel are available as options.
The Scala Facelift retains its spacious boot space of 467 liters, expandable to 1410 liters with the rear seats folded down. The model also features USB-C charging ports with up to 45W charging power.
The Skoda Scala Facelift measures approximately 4.36 m in length, 1.79 m in width, and 1.51 m in height. The facelifted model is expected to be available soon, with pricing details to be announced at a later date. The Scala Facelift integrates Chat-GPT technology, although further details on this feature have yet to be disclosed.
With its improved comfort, driving behavior, and increased power, the Scala Facelift is poised to offer a compelling proposition in the compact class.
