In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the annual ZEvent charity marathon took place in Montpellier over the weekend. The event, which aimed to raise funds for eight associations, surpassed the previous record by an impressive €6 million, reaching a grand total of €16 million.

The eight associations included in this year's ZEvent were the French Association of Carers, Helebor, the League against cancer, Nightline, the Rire médecin, Sourire à la vie, the Envol, and Sparadrap.

The record-breaking amount was made possible by the mobilisation of many actors from the world of sport. Many football jerseys were put up for auction during the event, with some of the most sought-after items being those given by Kylian Mbappé, Karim Benzema, Jean-Clair Todibo, Eden Hazard, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, João Neves, and Malo Gusto.

In addition to the auctions, a lottery was organised by Domingo, a popular streamer, with many prizes up for grabs. Some of the lottery prizes included a signed jersey of Tony Parker, rackets signed by the Lebrun brothers, jerseys signed by Antoine Griezmann or Sakina Karchaoui, a swimsuit worn at the 2024 Olympics by Léon Marchand, a racket signed by Gaël Monfils, and dedicated jerseys from the French rugby and football teams.

The streamer who achieved the highest donation in the ZEvent lottery was Michou. The event was live-streamed by Zack Nani, with a special episode of "Zack en roue libre" featuring Teji Savanier, the former captain of MHSC.

Perhaps the most remarkable achievement of the ZEvent was the fact that Domingo, a streamer, exceeded one million euros in donations during the event. This impressive fundraising effort was made possible through the draw system, with more chances of winning as the amount given increased.

The entrance ticket for the ZEvent charity marathon was set at one euro, for one chance, making it an accessible and inclusive event for all. The ZEvent continues to be a shining example of the power of community spirit and the generosity of individuals coming together to make a difference.
