Attack on E-Scooter Driver in Neumühl: Witnesses Sought for Investigation
In the heart of Berlin, an unsettling incident occurred on Max Planck Street. A 48-year-old man was riding an e-scooter near the intersection with Otto Hahn Street, when he was approached by a vehicle.
The man paused at the intersection, and the occupants of the vehicle exited. According to police reports, the occupants allegedly hurled insults at the man before one of them is said to have pushed him with enough force to make him fall onto the road.
The assault did not end there. Both the driver and the passenger are alleged to have continued the physical assault on the man while he was on the ground. Two witnesses who approached the scene caused the unknown individuals to flee.
Thankfully, the injured man was quickly taken to a hospital by ambulance. The Criminal Investigation Department 34 has initiated an investigation, but the name of the unknown person who attacked the 48-year-old man remains unidentified.
Witnesses who may have seen something are asked to call 0203 2800, in the hopes that more information will come to light and help bring the perpetrators to justice. It's a reminder for all of us to stay vigilant and look out for each other in our communities.
