Osaka's World Expo Attracts Record-Breaking Visitors

The 2025 World Exposition in Osaka, Japan, has been drawing in large crowds, with a significant increase in visitors in the remaining days of the event.

The Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition has emphasized the importance of attracting as many visitors as possible, as the event is set to close on October 13 and has already welcomed 20.25 million visitors.

On Saturday, the Expo set a new record with 200,000 visitors, surpassing the previous high of 187,449 visitors, which was set on August 30.

Haruto Kotani, a 22-year-old information technology engineer from the city of Toyonaka, Osaka Prefecture, was the 20.25 millionth visitor. He expressed his broadened perspective due to encountering future technologies at the event.

During an official ceremony, Kotani and two friends received commemorative goods, including pins bearing the words "EXPO 2025."

The Expo, currently ongoing in the western Japan city of Osaka, has not yet announced any extensions to its closing date. The figure of 20.25 million includes visitors related to the Expo project.

The increase in visitors is likely due to people rushing to visit the Expo before its closing date. The figure corresponds to the year of the event (2025).

The 2025 World Exposition in Osaka has been a significant attraction, showcasing various future technologies and innovations. The person who crossed the 20.25 million visitor mark was honored as a symbolic visitor during the ceremony.

Despite the Expo's success, no official figures for the total number of visitors have been released yet. However, with the Expo's popularity and the recent surge in visitors, it is expected that the final figure will be impressive.
