Authorities are currently scrutinizing potential culprits following reports of harassment at a train station.

In the city of Dortmund, authorities are pursuing an ongoing investigation into multiple incidents of harassment at the Stadtgarten Stadtbahnhof. The investigation was initiated after a video showing harassment at the same location was posted on social media.

The suspect under investigation is a 28-year-old man from Dortmund. The Dortmund police have identified the individual and conducted a risk assessment, taking his details for identification purposes.

Following media coverage, more women have come forward to file criminal complaints against the suspect. The police urge victims to report incidents immediately via emergency number 110 or online for direct intervention. For those unable to report immediately, they can do so later at any police station or online at https://internetwache.polizei.nrw/ich-moechte-eine-anzeige-erstatten.

All authorities responsible for security take such allegations very seriously and pursue cases consistently. The police can only act if they are aware of the crime.

Women are advised to develop a sensitivity for boundary crossings. A negative gut feeling usually occurs in such situations. In the event of any boundary violations, women should immediately stop the situation, leave, ask others for help, or clearly and firmly demand the respect of their boundaries.

The Dortmund police became aware of the harassment incidents through tips on social media. For questions, journalists should contact Polizei Dortmund, Tobias Nico Boccarius at 0231/132-1024, email [email protected], or visit https://dortmund.polizei.nrw/.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Dortmund police urge victims to report incidents immediately for a swift and effective response. The safety and well-being of the city's residents remain a top priority for the authorities.
