An act of arson on a car occurred on Stubbenhuk Street in Elmshorn, Germany, on July 24, 2025. According to a statement from the Police Directorate Bad Segeberg, the incident took place around 2:30 AM.

The victim's vehicle, a VW CC with Peine license plates, was found fully engulfed in flames at the scene of the crime. The initial damage estimate for the car is approximately 15,000 EUR.

A passing cyclist noticed the fire and pursued the two suspected arsonists on foot. The description of the suspects is that they are men, approximately 180-185 cm tall, and were wearing black clothing. The chase took place on Stubbenhuk Street, Besenbeker Street, and Turn Street, but the cyclist lost sight of the suspects near a school grounds.

The cyclist, a 24-year-old resident of Elmshorn, notified the police about the incident via the emergency call service. The suspects were reported to have entered a school grounds during the chase.
