Authorities detain two individuals under suspicion for an arson incident.
In Bremen, Germany, the police are currently investigating an arson case that occurred on Sunday afternoon. The incident took place around 1:20 PM on Breiten Street, near Jaburg StraΓe.
According to the official statement from the Bremen Police, a 15-year-old girl and a 19-year-old were arrested in connection with the case. The suspects are accused of setting fire to the porch of an abandoned building on Breiten Street.
Witnesses near the scene reported seeing a group of youths and adults briefly gathering in a building shortly before the fire broke out. Dark smoke was seen rising from the porch as the suspects left the area, which later developed into a fire. The fire department was promptly called to extinguish the blaze, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The police are seeking more witnesses to the incident. Detailed descriptions provided by witnesses led to the quick arrest of the suspects. Anyone with relevant observations is asked to come forward and contact the criminal duty office at 0421 362-3888.
The 15-year-old suspect was handed over to her legal guardians by the police. The suspects are currently being held at the police station for further questioning.
